Sometimes my client likes a certain colour scheme but it don't seems to work with the logo.
Colours are like the full stop to a sentence. Colour completes the development of a logo design.
I think my general advise is:
-First check the form of the logo if it works good in Black & White. Black on white background and white on Black/ dark background.
-Than ask yourself, what is the impression you wish to project. Fun, Calm, Elegant, Exclusive or Welcoming? Colour tells a story.
Here are 2 articles, I've come across to share their ideas about colour. Mind you, the year the articles are written. The preferance of colour can change in time and within certain cultures, there are preferences.
